If you are a crabby miserable person, you are missing the whole point. Jesus has come to give us joy.

The Prodigal Son – Everything He Has Is Yours

I have heard many homilies on the Parable of the Prodigal Son.  I never understood why the older brother should not have felt aggrieved. Bishop Barron’s homily is the first time I truly understood it. This parable teaches us key lessons about our relationship with God. If we could only give in the same manner as the way God gives to us, we would find our lives would be a great celebration; just like the celebration held for the younger son on his return.
